Almond Milk

This is a really simple recipe. You do not need much equipment ( just a nut milk bag and a blender) and it tastes way better than store-bought almond milk. Feel free to play around with this recipe, you could make it sweet or infuse with your favorite chocolate. When I do vegan baking and I need a diary replacement, I prefer to use my own. This is because it doesn’t have all of the additives in it and mine is thicker and creamier. Let me know if you make it!

Ingredients

2-3 cups of organic, preferably raw almonds

water

salt

Place almonds in a container, cover with water. Refrigerate for 1-2 days. After, pour out water and place soaked almonds in a blender. Add 2-4 cups of water depending on how creamy you prefer your almond milk. Blend for a couple of minutes. Strain almond milk with a nut milk bag over a large bowl. Add 1/4 tsp of salt and any flavoring you like (vanilla and or sweetener). Will keep in the fridge for about 5 days.
